You are eating a salad when your mom asks your dad, “Can you get me the cabbage to put in the salad?” And your dad gets some green stuff, when your mom says, “No, that’s lettuce!” But wait, how do I know the difference? Isn’t cabbage the same as lettuce? Or are they? But this is that, right? So, what is the difference?
The Differences Between [this] and [that]
Cabbage/Lettuce: Cabbage is much healthier than lettuce, so it is best to eat cabbage, but lettuce is easier to remove from the stem. Cabbage has its leaves more wrapped tightly, just like a baby sucking its thumb- both hold tightly. Lettuce also has more of a substance called chlorophyll, and that is what makes something green, so lettuce is greener than cabbage.
Nuts/Peanuts: According to Google Chrome, The major difference between nuts and peanuts is that nuts grow on trees while peanuts grow underground. Nuts are also called tree nuts and peanuts are called legumes.
Slug/Snail: A slug is one of those squirmy blobs that eats your mom’s plants. So as snails! Is the blob that is eating that leaf a snail or a slug? Snails have shells that act as homes. But with them plucked off, they’re slugs.
Eel/Snake: Eels breathe underwater, but snakes are land creatures. A snake would die underwater, and so as an eel would die on land. But there is a such thing as sea snakes.
Cupcake/Muffin: Cupcakes have more sugar so they’re much sweeter than muffins. As Google says, cupcakes are a mini cake and a muffin is a small bread. (That’s right!)
