Homemade Mosquito Bite Cures

Summer is full of fun activities but they also have a disadvantage: Mosquitoes. Their bites are itchy, and itching them will make the bite even itchier. You can always cure those bites with homemade mosquito bite cures! They are made with everyday objects, unlike specialized processed cures.

Ways:

  1. Ice packs fresh from the freezer is a way to cure bite. Cover a pack with a thin but damp cloth. Wrap the ice pack with the cloth and gently press the pack onto the mosquito bite. If you don’t have an ice pack, you can simply drop a few ice cubes in a plastic bag or freeze some liquid in a resealable bag.
  2. Baking soda paste can help. Mix a bit of baking soda with a bit of water. Spread it on the bite and let it stay for about 15 minutes. (some people may experience skin irritation, if it does happen, wash it away immediately and stop use)
  3. Honey may sound unusual but it works. Add a dab of honey to the bite. Suggested: Do not go outside when the honey was just added, the sweetness may attract mosquitoes.
  4. Aloe vera gel, even a little squeeze of it will help. Cold gel will work better than warm.
  5. Basil leaves seem crazy, but as soon as you rub one on one of your mosquito bites, they are likely to stop itching.

Other things that can slightly cure bites are store-bought gels, pastes, etc.
