Two-Train Major Collision In Greece

In Greece, the very early Wednesday, two trains – one a passenger train and the other a freight train, had a fatal collision. 30-ish people have been found dead, and roughty 85 injured. Many have been severely injured. This crash occurred near Tempe. Hospital units were called over, as well as ambulances. Some train “cars” even set on fire! One survivor said, “There was a very sudden stop, sparks were everywhere. I escaped by using a bag to break a window and climbed out. The front train ‘carriages’ smashed, but luckily the one I was sitting in didn’t.” Many people were screaming and yelling, certainly scared and afraid. Another survivor remarked, “It felt like an earthquake!” Some rescuers wearing head lights searched under the train ruins for any injured people.
