Trees

Roots

You can not see a tree’s roots on the surface. They are underground; so they make the tree stable. The roots suck up water from the soil, too. They look like:*

Bark

The bark is just a “pipe” or “tunnel” for the water the roots have sucked up. The water travels all the way up to the branches.

Branches

The branches also are pipes for the water, expect they are smaller. The branches lead to the leaves.

Leaves produce the tree’s food. It eats sugar. How do they make sugar? Well, they take the water first. After that, they suck up carbon dioxide from the air, and last, they mix the carbon dioxide with the water. Then there is sugar!
